As many of you may know, ’tis the season of the unicorn! EVERYTHING Unicorn! It’s like a massive unicorn invasion. And while, I’ve never personally been obsessed with this rare animal, I must say that I’ve recently fallen into the whole movement of using the unicorn emojii🦄. That’s a start right? Haha.
I mean the colors of a unicorn are just so chic and the glitter and ‘dopeness’ just illuminates any room and demands attention.
Well, that’s apparently not ALL that the unicorn has illuminated. Recently, Starbucks (my favorite place might I add & greatest obsession) came out with a Unicorn Frappuccino Blended Creme. At first, I thought this was absolutely ridiculous when I saw it plastered all over the Starbucks website and in every store. I actually wondered, “Who would really try this, Yuck!”. But then, as a few short hours grew into a few days, I decided to FINALLY give this colorful sensation a try!
According to Starbucks, this Frappuccino is a flavor-changing, color-changing, totally not-made-up Unicorn Frappuccino. Magical flavors start off sweet and fruity transforming to pleasantly sour. Swirl it to reveal a color-changing spectacle of purple and pink. It’s finished with whipped cream-sprinkled pink and blue fairy powders.
So, like any other Friday (rather Early i might add), I asked my Husband to pick up one of these infamous Unicorn Frappuccinos on his way back from the gym (in a Tall-size by the way) since I wasn’t sure if I’d love it OR totally hate it. Plus, I planned on getting my regular Venti-sized Caramel Frappuccino on the side, so that I can really enjoy my morning pick me up! Anyway, to my dismay and utter GREATEST DISAPPOINTMENT, my husband came home empty handed of the colorful sensation that I was oh so thrilled to try.
THEY WERE SOLD OUT COMPLETELY!!! (And utterly happy about it too! Haha.)
Apparently, EVERYONE has been ordering these colored sweet drinks by the masses and Baristas have been having a meltdown with the whole ordeal. Rather, I had my usual Caramel Frappuccino, sorrowfully, and a Strawberry-flavored Nutrigrain bar to get that added sweetness that I would’ve had if all went as planned. Bummer! Well, I guess I’ll never know what it would’ve tasted like, UNLESS they decided to do this again. **Crosses fingers!**
Did you get a chance to try the Unicorn Frappuccino? If so, what did you think? If not, would you have given it a go? Be sure to let me know in the comments below!
Thank so much for reading, liking, and sharing. HAPPY FRIYAY!
