This Orange Kiwi Ginger Mocktailis a new favorite that I'll be making all summer long. It has a thick, almost smoothie-like texture. But there's no blending or food processing needed! Plus this mocktail is free of refined sugars and is totally vegan.
How to Make Orange Kiwi Ginger Mocktails
The most important thing for this drink recipe is to use ripe, sweet and fresh fruit. Here's what you'll need to make it:
Fresh kiwis. Peel the kiwis with a vegetable peeler or cut them in half and use a spoon to scoop out the green flesh.
Orange juice. You'll want to squeeze this yourself for the best flavor, rather than using store-bought juice.
Agave. You can also use another sweetener like honey (if you're not vegan), maple syrup or coconut sugar. Or, if you want to skip the added sweetener altogether, go for it!
Ginger beer. This is a non-alcoholic, deliciously gingery soda that adds just the right amount of fizz to top off the drinks.
Garnish Ideas
Have some fun garnishing your kiwi and ginger drinks! I like to use more fresh kiwi and some pretty herbs. Rosemary goes great with ginger.
Can I Make a Cocktail with Ginger-Kiwi Juice?
Yes! If you want to turn this mocktail into an adult beverage, you can add a shot of vodka or tequila to each glass over ice.

In a bowl, add the sliced kiwis and orange juice, mulling (crushing) everything together until kiwis are mostly broken down. Add Agave and stir until combined. NOTE: Add additional sweetener if needed.
ASSEMBLY: Add crushed ice to glass(es), Add 3-4 Tbsps of mulled kiwis to bottom of glass, followed by ⅓ cup of mulled kiwi-citrus mixture and top with ginger beer until glasses are ¾ filled. For additional garnish, add sliced kiwis, orange wedges, and rosemary sprigs. Repeat for every serving.
Sip and Enjoy!
Tips & Tricks
SWEETENER:Instead of Agave syrup, you can substitute with pure maple syrup, honey, or organic cane sugar as a syrup (sugar + water boiled over the stove top to make simple syrup).
ORANGE JUICE: Instead of using orange juice, you can always substitute with another citrus such lemon or lime juice.
SERVING: To make additional mocktails, simply double or triple ingredients, depending on need.
