This chilled Watermelon Strawberry Lime Mocktail is an alcohol-free summertime drink that makes the most of seasonal fruit. It's light, satisfying and 100% refreshing!
I don't know about you, but I can't get enough watermelon when it's in season. There's nothing more refreshing than a chilled perfectly juicy watermelon straight out of the fridge. And you may already know how fond I am of fruty mocktails and drinks, especially during the summer, when I'm always enjoying sips like this Strawberry Basil Pineapple Mocktail.
So it naturally made sense to unite my love of watermelon with my love of homemade healthy drinks. I give you a sweet, fruit-packed Watermelon Strawberry Lime Mocktail that tastes like summer in a glass.
How to Make Watermelon, Strawberry and Lime Drinks
The most important part about this recipe is choosing ripe, seasonal fruit. If it's local, even better! It will have the best flavor. I like to chill my watermelon and strawberries before making the mocktail too.
Ingrdient Notes
Here's what you need to make this simple kid-friendly drink:
Strawberries. Slice the strawberries so they release their natural juices and flavor better.
Watermelon. Cube the melon into equal-sized pieces for easier mashing.
Agavesyrup. Feel free to omit the agave for a no-sugar-added drink. Or substitute it with honey or bee-free vegan honey.
Limejuice. This adds a touch of bright acidity to cut through the sweet fruit flavors.
Tips for Success
Here are my best tips for making this strawberry melon mocktail:
Use a large bowl to mash or muddle the fruit. This gives you enough space to avoid splashing. You want to fully break down the berries and watermelon.
Use a seedless watermelon if you can find one. Otherwise, you'll want to remove all seeds before mashing the melon.
Serve the strawberry watermelon lime mocktail in tall glasses over ice.
Garnishing and Serving
I like to give this simple recipe an elevated feel with a few garnishes on the glasses. I'll fill cocktail glasses with ice, pour in the watermelon and berry drink, and decorate each glass with:
A few cubes of watermelon
Slices of fresh strawberries
A lime wedge
And while you're at it, why not go all the way and add a fun drink umbrella to your homemade mocktails?
Storage
You can make this drink ahead of time. It will keep in the fridge for up to two days. Avoid adding ice before storage, which will dilute your mocktail.

In a bowl, add the fresh sliced strawberries, watermelon, and lime juice, mulling (crushing) everything together until strawberries/watermelon are fully broken down. Add in the water and Agave and stir until well combined combined. NOTE: Add additional sweetener depending on sweetness desired.
To Assemble: Add crushed ice to glass(es), Add 3-4 Tbsps of mulled strawberries/watermelon to bottom of glass, followed by ⅓ cup of mocktail liquid mixture until glasses are ¾ filled. For additional garnish, add sliced strawberries, cubed watermelon, and lime wedges. Repeat for every serving.
Sip and Enjoy!
Tips & Tricks
SWEETENER: Instead of Agave syrup, you can substitute with pure maple syrup or organic cane sugar as a syrup (sugar + water boiled over the stove top).
