Sip this refreshing Blackberry Lime Mocktail sweetened with agave and garnished with fresh fruit for a summery and bright drink.
Blackberries are an under-appreciated fruit, if you ask me. Strawberries and blueberries seem to get a lot of attention, but blackberries are every bit as delicious, versatile good for you. I love using them for baking recipes like my Vegan Chocolate Pancakes with Blackberries.
But they work just as well in a refreshing mocktail with bright lime juice! You'll love this hydrating summery beverage.
Ingredients for Blackberry Lime Mocktails
This recipe takes 5 minutes to make. All you need is:
Fresh blackberries. Use organic and/or local berries if possible!
Fresh lime. You can also use lemon juice if you prefer.
Agave. Feel free to use more or less sweetener to suit your taste.
For serving, use plenty of ice and your favorite garnishes. I like fresh herbs, a lime wedge, and more berries.
Big-Batch Mocktails
You can prepare a big pitcher of blackberry lime mocktails for a crowd. Just increase the ingredients proportionally. Wait to add the ice until you're ready to serve so the flavor isn't diluted.
Health Benefits of Blackberries
Aside from being a healthy way to hydrate, this blackberry mocktail also packs some important health benefits. Blackberries, and berries in general, are considered superfoods because they are:
High in powerful antioxidants called polyphenols
Rich in dietary fiber, which supports healthy digestion

SWEETENER: Instead of Agave syrup, you can substitute with pure maple syrup or organic cane sugar as a syrup (sugar + water boiled over the stove top).
