You know I love putting my own twist on things, and after creating my Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad, I knew I had to share my Caesar Dressing recipe with you. While many folks grab a bottle off the shelf, homemade Caesar dressing is so simple to whip up and tastes way better than store-bought. There are plenty of ways to make it, but this rich and creamy version is the one my whole family can’t get enough of.
Unlike traditional Caesar dressings made with olive oil and raw eggs, this one uses a mayonnaise base—no need to fuss with raw eggs or anchovies. It’s packed with bold, umami flavors and has a super creamy texture. Perfect for drizzling over my Chicken Caesar Salad with Cornbread Croutons, or really any dish that could use a creamy, flavorful boost!
Traditionally, it’s made with ingredients like olive oil, egg yolks, garlic, anchovies, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and parmesan cheese, which come together to create a bold, savory flavor with just the right amount of tang. But, since I love putting my own spin on things, I’ve changed it up to make it even easier and just as delicious!
Caesar dressing originated in Tijuana, Mexico, in the 1920s. It was created by an Italian immigrant named Caesar Cardini, who owned a restaurant there. The story goes that one busy night, Caesar improvised by whipping up a new salad dressing for his guests with limited ingredients. It’s now one of the most popular salad dressings in the world!

Add dressing to your favorite mason jar or tightly sealed container and refrigerate for 7-10 days for optimal freshness.
While Worcestershire sauce adds a unique depth of flavor, you can substitute it with a splash of soy sauce or tamari for a similar umami boost, or simply leave it out if you prefer.
Absolutely! If you like it extra garlicky, feel free to add more minced garlic. For a tangier kick, squeeze in more lemon. You can also adjust the salt and pepper to your taste.
Yes! In fact, making it ahead allows the flavors to meld together even better. Just store it in the fridge in an airtight container, and give it a quick stir before serving.
