INGREDIENT NOTES
Things you need to know about some of the key ingredients in this Easy Everything Bagel Cheese Naan Pizza.
Garlic Naan bread. Feel free to use any naan bread (including a vegan-friendly version) that you have on hand---whether store-bought or homemade. I love using an organic version and for this pizza, I just love the added garlic flavor.
Mozzarella (fresh). Adds a great amount of savory and beautiful melty cheese flavor by using fresh mozzarella which is sliced as thin or thick as you'd like.
Everything Bagel Seasoning. I like to create my own sometimes or a use one of my favorite organic store–bought blends.
WHITE GARLIC SAUCE
Next, prepare the white sauce for the pizza. It’s loaded with creamy, savory flavor, thanks to these ingredients:
Butter. Use unsalted so you can control the flavor of the sauce, but feel free to use salted butter. Just omit the salt from the rest of the sauce.
Garlic. Fresh garlic will give you the best flavor, but you can use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder if you prefer.
Heavy cream. Choose organic for the best flavor! You can also use a plant-based milk (and thicken it with about 1 tablespoon flour) or full-fat coconut milk/cream for a dairy-free option.
Parmesan cheese. You could also use more mozzarella, asiago or another melty cheese. A mixture of cheeses also works well!
Salt and black pepper.
Red pepper flakes. This is optional, but I like bit of heat on this naan pizza.
Tip: Let the sauce cool a bit before using it on the pizza crust.
STEPS TO MAKE A HOMEMADE EVERYTHING BAGEL BLEND
When it comes to the everything bagel blend, it’s all about the sesame seeds and if I’m not using a store-bought version, I definitely enjoy keeping it as original as possible with both white + black sesame seeds.
But, you can use one or the other if you don’t currently have both. Overall, this recipe makes ¼ cup, however, I love making a larger batch (by doubling or tripling the ingredients) and storing it in an airtight container for a longer period of time. Here are the ingredients that you need:
4 tsps white sesame seeds
2 tsps black sesame seeds
2 tsps poppy seeds
2 tsps garlic powder
2 tsps onion powder
1 tsp sea salt
Other Topping Ideas
If you’re looking for more pizza topping inspiration or want to just make these pizzas even more delicious, here are some more ideas:
Use bacon pieces for an even more savory taste.
Add greens to the mix. Kale or spinach are always a great go-to!
Sprinkle the tops of the pizza with shredded chicken for some protein factor.
Add roasted veggies for a bit of color----think roasted tomatoes, zucchini, broccoli, bell peppers, Brussels sprouts, etc.
Roasted chickpeas or cauliflower.
