This lavender latte uses just a few simple ingredients (like my Dirty Chai Maple Iced Latte,  Iced Vanilla Latte, and Dairy-Free Pumpkin Spice Latte) and takes only a few minutes to whip up. You can use store-bought or homemade oat milk, or your fave milk of choice! Plus, it’s super delicious—slightly floral, slightly sweet + totally perfect.

Why You'll Love This Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte

First and foremost, the flavors in this simple + easy lavender latte is enough to convince anyone, however, here are a few more reasons why you'll love this recipe:

  • Perfectly floral + slightly sweet
  • Can be enjoyed hot or iced
  • Feels like a barista-made drink at home --- It's very similar to Starbucks
  • You save money! This by far is one of my biggest reasons for making my own coffee at home.
  • It's healthier. Most of all, this is my biggest plus! I love it when I am able to know what ingredients I use whenever making drinks, cooking, or baking. Making my own lattes and coffee at home has definitely allowed me to switch to healthier, organic ingredients which is a win, win!

How To Make This Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte

I used lavender extract for the lavender flavor, but you can also use lavender syrup. To sweeten this Lavender Oatmilk Latte, I made a honey syrup with just honey and water.

To serve, pour the cooled honey syrup into a glass, add your favorite plant-based milk (I used oat, but almond or coconut works great too), freshly brewed coffee or espresso, and the lavender extract. Give it a good stir, and if you want, top it with coconut whipped cream + dried lavender flowers for a fancy touch!

Ingredients

LATTE:

  • Freshly-brewed coffee or espresso. Cooled.
  • Oat milk. Homemade or store-bought (You can use your fave milk)
  • Honey simple syrup. Cooled. See below for how to make it.
  • Lavender extract. I love this Pure Bulgarian Lavender Extract. But you can also purchase lavender syrup as a substitute.
  • Crushed ice. Cubed also works fine!

How To Make Honey Simple Syrup

In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add together the water and honey(whisking them to combine) and bring to a boil, about 1-2 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely.

INGREDIENTS

  • Filtered water.
  • Organic raw honey. You can use organic cane sugar, coconut sugar, or maple syrup if desired.

Can I Make A Hot Lavender Latte?

Absolutely! To make a hot lavender latte, simply heat your plant-based milk until it's warm + steamy. (If you have a frother feel free to use) Prepare the honey simple syrup and as mentioned and pour into the milk, then pour in a freshly brewed hot coffee or espresso shot atop. Stir everything together and top with a sprinkle of dried lavender flowers or a dollop of coconut whipped cream if you like.

Can I Make This Lavender Latte Without Caffine?

Absolutely! You can make this latte without caffeine by using decaf coffee or espresso. If you prefer, you can also use a caffeine-free herbal tea, like chamomile or rooibos, to create a soothing, caffeine-free version of this delicious lavender latte.

What Kind of Dairy-Free Milk is Best for Lattes?

Everything in this Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte recipe is completely delish as is, but if you'd like to switch things up with the type of plant-based milk that you use-----that's totally fine! The world of plant-based milk is constantly expanding, it's hard to keep up! From the classics like cashew milksesame milk, soy milk, and almond milk, we now have delicious options like oat milk and even potato and quinoa milk.

What What to Serve with Your Iced Lavender Latte

This iced lavender oat milk latte pairs perfectly with a satisfying breakfast. Remember, coffee alone doesn't count as breakfast! Enjoy it with:

Two glasses of iced lavender lattes.

Are Lattes Stronger Than Coffee?

Believe it or not, lattes are actually considered "weaker" than coffee in the caffeine department because lattes usually also contain milk and sugar. So, although espresso is greater in caffeine levels, the added steam milk and cream lowers it's potency, which works for those who aren't strong coffee drinkers.

Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte Q + A's

CAN I STORE IN THE FRIDGE FOR LATER?

Yes, you can store prepared your Lavender Latte in the fridge for later---Simply pour it into a sealed container or bottle and refrigerate. Give it a good stir before serving, as the ingredients may settle while in the fridge.

CAN I MAKE THIS LAVENDER LATTE VEGAN?

Yes! Simply opt for another sweetener such as maple syrup, agave or coconut sugar and follow the same instructions for making a simple syrup.

What Can I Use Instead of Lavender Extract?

If you don't have lavender extract, you can use lavender syrup for a similar flavor. Adjust the sweetness by reducing the amount of honey syrup.

Can I Make the Honey Syrup in Advance?

Yes, you can make the honey syrup ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to a week. This makes it easy to whip up an Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte anytime you crave one!
